There was no personalization of his room even though asked a number of times until hospice worker did. Calls to get medical updates were sometimes challenging to get information. After my loved one passed away, I was given the clothes and items from his room which included many items from other residents!!!
His room looked like a shared hospital room with a curtain pulled between the beds. If he reached out, he would have probably touched the bed next to him. He was kind of in the darkest room and he complained to me about the staff being rough with him. Almost 9 out of 10 times that I visited him, he was laying in bed in a hospital gown and not even dressed for the day. The overall atmosphere of the facility was depressing.
